学术著作是指为了积累和传播交流人类在科学实践中所获得的知识而创作的具有专门性、理论性和系统性的作品.属于学术著作的图书一般具有以下三个特征:第一,学术著作记述有作者进行科研活动所获得的新知识.即科研成果.这种科研活动可以是理论探索、实验.实地和实物观测.社会调查.前人留下的资料分析整理等等.第二,学术著作的内容通常集中于某一专题.其表述有一定的深度和系统性.因而具有专门性、理论性和系统性.
