喀麦隆共和国位于非洲中部。1472年葡萄牙人费尔南多率领探险队,来到杜阿拉附近的武里河口寻找食物,发现大量的虾,高兴地高呼“camaroes”。后来殖民者便把这里命名为“喀麦隆”。
The Republic of Cameroon is located in central Africa. In 1472, the Portuguese Fernando led the expedition to find food in the mouth of the Buri River near Douala and found a large number of shrimp, happily shouting “camaroes.” The colonists later named it “Cameroon.”
