我总不能把清癯文雅的叶如璋同矗立在中国奥林匹克体育中心广场的铸铁雕塑《猛汉斗牛》联系在一起。但确见他创作出了这样粗犷奔放、令人为之怦然心动的作品。我带着讨教的心情多次有意介入他的创作活动。在交谈时引发他讲述自己的创意及他对艺术问题的看法。每当这时,平时口讷的他却总能侃侃而谈,那独到的见解,精辟的理论便使我一次次茅塞顿开。随着交流的深入,我看到了一个挚爱自己事业的雕塑家执著、不倦的追求、悟到了他创作的信念、领略了他雕塑作品的魂之所在。 1956年毕业于东北鲁迅艺术学院雕塑系的叶
I can not always associate the refined Ye Ruzhang with the cast iron sculpture “Chin Hamper” standing in the square of the Olympic Stadium in China.
