进入80年代以来,话剧艺术曾一度走入低谷,全国所有的话剧艺术团体几乎都面临着生存的危机。这一危机给从事这一艺术形式的领导和艺术家带来了深深的困惑和焦虑,一些剧团几乎处于瘫痪的状态,靠着国家的补助勉强维持生存,几年也推不出一台戏。而东北的一个名不见经传的小型话剧团——吉林市话剧团,近几年来剧团建设却搞得有声有色,仅去年一年演出500多场次,观众高达数十万人次,收入60多万元。在话剧消费市场不景气的形势下,这样的社会效益和经济效益足以使贫困的戏剧界羡慕不已。他们走出了困境,寻求出一条适于小型剧团生存的路子,它自然引起了人们的关注和兴趣。
Since the 1980s, drama art has been at a low ebb, and almost all of the country’s theater arts groups are faced with the crisis of survival. The crisis brought deep confusion and anxiety to the leaders and artists engaged in this art form. Some of the troupes were almost paralyzed and reluctantly survived on the basis of state subsidies. In the past few years, they can not push forward a scene. A little-known small repertory theater in northeast China, the Jilin Repertory Theater, has made a big splash in recent years. It performed over 500 performances a year last year, with hundreds of thousands of viewers and over 600,000 yuan of income. In the downturn of the drama consumer market, such social and economic benefits are enough to envy the poor theater industry. As they stepped out of their predicament and sought out a way to survive for the troupe, it naturally aroused people’s interest and interest.
