扬豇40是从之豇28—2的变异株中,经过连续6个世代的单株选育而成的新品种。与之豇28—2相比,具有长势旺、抗逆性强、晚熟、高产,荚形美观等特点。春播一般产量1600kg/667m~2以上,比之豇28—2高19%以上;夏播产量1200kg/667m~2以上,比之豇28—2高14%以上。该品种在长江中下游地区,尤其适宜夏播伏缺季节上市。
Young cowpea 40 is a new breed of mutants of cowpea 28-2 that has been selected from six successive generations of plants.
