土壤水分是植物赖以生长和利用各种土壤元素的溶剂,一般用土壤含水率表示(即土壤水分占土壤干重的百分数)。但为了真正了解植物对土壤水分需求的指标,还必须研究土壤的有效含水率。土壤有效含水率的计算方法是:土壤有效含水率(%)=土壤含水率-土壤凋萎系数从而可知,要确知土壤有效含水率,一定要测定土壤凋萎系数。1979~1981年我们在盐池县城郊长城大队的干旱沙地上,结合万亩林的建设,对有代表性的土壤进行了凋萎系数的测定。
