[Objectives] To study the original plant,Crude herb and microscopic identification of Yi Crude herb Pholidota chinensis Lindl.,and provide experimental data for identification and application. [Methods]Plant identification,character identification,powder identification and paraffin section identification were adopted in the study. [Results]The characteristics of Yi Crude herb of Pholidota chinensis Lindl. were obvious in the original plant,Crude herb and microscopic characteristics. [Conclusions]This paper provided reference for developing quality standards of Yi Crude herb Pholidota chinensis Lindl. and original plant identification,and provided the basis for further research.
