The 5th edition of the “Modern Chinese Dictionary” (hereinafter referred to as the “new edition”) has changed the interpretation of some words. Several of them are frequently used by us and should arouse the attention of the students. The interpretation of this term in the new and old editions of the “Modern Chinese Dictionary” is “beginning to use”, but the new dictionary will use “enable the rookie” in the examples.
