不过准确地说,DVD其实是指在Sony(索尼)和Philips(飞利浦)提出MultiMediaCD方案、Toshiba(东芝)提出SuperDisc方案之后,为避免格式分裂,由IBM牵头,联合Mitsubishi(三菱)、Hitachi(日立)、Panasonic(松下)等公司(简称10C),于1995年9月统一的方案——Digital Versatile Disc(数字万能光盘)。
DVD, I believe our readers should not be unfamiliar - In April 1994, Hollywood first proposed to replace the CD-ROM as the next generation of video storage media DVD (digital video disc) concept, nearly 10 years ago. During this period, with high-definition picture quality, high-fidelity surround sound stereo DVD movie has long been really into our family. To be exact, however, DVDs actually refer to the MultiMediaCD solution proposed by Sony and Philips and the SuperDisc solution proposed by Toshiba. In order to avoid format fragmentation, the DVD is led by IBM, and Mitsubishi, Hitachi, ), Panasonic (Panasonic) and other companies (referred to as 10C), in September 1995 unified program - Digital Versatile Disc (Digital Versatile Disc).
