现代性研究、翻译研究和文化研究,在20个世纪后半叶已经成为理论界的三个热门话题。它们对其他学科以及世界各国的宏观理论研究,都产生了相当大的影响。这三门学科领域的强劲发展势头,皆可以归结为是科技进步带来的全球化进程所产生的辐射和传播效应之一,但也可以反过来说,没有哪一门学科可以像现代性、翻译学和文化研究这样,在推动文化全球化的进程中,起到这样巨大的作用;也没有哪一个学科在消解“英语中心主义”和美国文化霸权的过程中,起到这样显著的作用。
Modernity research, translation studies, and cultural studies became the three hot topics of theorists in the second half of the 20th century. They have had a considerable impact on macro-theoretical research in other disciplines and in various countries in the world. The strong momentum of development in these three subject areas can all be attributed to the radiation and spread effects of the globalization process brought about by the progress of science and technology. However, it can also be conversely that no subject can be like the modernity, Translatology and cultural studies have played such a big role in the process of promoting cultural globalization that no such subject has played such a significant role in resolving “English-centrism” and American cultural hegemony effect.
