Objective To investigate the effect of simulated weightlessness on intake of human body and the contents of Zn, Ca, Fe and Cu in hair. Methods Subjects were placed in bed at -6 ° low for 21 days. The changes of nutrient intake were observed by weighing method. The body weight, urine output and upper arm circumference were recorded on the 1st, 11th and 21st days of bed rest. Hair, Determination of hair Zn, Ca, Fe, Cu content by atomic flame absorption spectrophotometry. Results The dietary Zn, Ca, Fe and Cu decreased in the second week after simulated weightlessness and returned to normal in the third week. Hair content in the 11th day than the first day significantly decreased (P <0.01), the first 21 days to restore the original level. Increased urine output, body weight and arm circumference no significant change. Conclusion Simulated weightlessness has a short-term effect on nutritional status and Zn, Ca, Fe and Cu contents in the hair, and can return to the normal range after the adaptation period.
