自古以来,提及济南,其政治和文化意义似乎远远超过了经济和商业。但实际上,济南自古便是商贾荟萃之地,历史上就曾是山东最大的商业城市,近百年来,更是形成了大商号、大商人、大市场,至今影响着这个城市的人们。宏大的城市发展概念和晦涩的经济名词,对生活在这个城市的人来说并不敏感,但商业却实实在在地影响了济南人的生活。尤其是开埠以后,商业成了百年济南最可圈可点的,也最有触感的存在。百年前的济南商埠区,店铺林立,洋行遍布,商号如大观园,名声响彻华东,商人如孟洛川,鲁商大情怀传承至今。而现在,济南正经历着第二次开埠,从“蓝色经济圈”的经济辐射、“大交通”的交通地位和城市商圈发展速度来看,用“大商”来形容济南商业绝非夸大。
