邬堂春华中科技大学劳动卫生与环境卫生学教授、省部共建环境卫生学国家重点实验室培育基地主任、公共卫生学院院长,“国家杰出青年科学基金”获得者,“长江学者”特聘教授,“973”首席科学家。曾留学加拿大拉瓦勒大学。他率领团队长期、系统地开展了代表性空气污染致健康损害的规律和热休克蛋白等在环境因素致健康损害中的作用研究,取得了已改变预防对策且有显著成效的创新成果。
