衔接与连贯是语篇研究的核心,也是考察英文写作水平的一项重要指标。据国外语言学家Halliday和Hasan的研究成果,衔接手段有指称、替代和省略、连接以及词汇衔接等分类。通过对中国英语学习者语料库中随机抽取的60篇大学英语六级考试作文分析,发现中国大学生写作中各类衔接词使用频率差异较大,指称词使用频繁,替代和省略使用较少;在衔接小类上,高分组和低分组差别小,但有误用现象,影响了语篇的连贯。
Cohesion and coherence are the core of discourse research and an important indicator of the level of English writing. According to the findings of foreign linguists Halliday and Hasan, cohesion means classification, substitution and omission, connection and vocabulary cohesion. Through the analysis of 60 college English CET6 essays randomly selected from the corpora of Chinese EFL learners, it is found that the use frequency of various cohesive words in Chinese college students’ writing is quite different, the use of the referential words is frequent, and the substitution and omission are less used. Small class, high group and low group differences are small, but there is a misuse of the phenomenon, affecting the coherence of discourse.
