经文化部批准、由深圳市政府主办的“第一届深圳国际水墨画双年展”于1998年12月10日至30日在深圳关山月美术馆举行。展览是继’88北京和’92深圳两届国际水墨画展以后,中国大陆举办的又一次大型的国际性水墨交流活动,其宗旨在弘扬水墨画艺术传统,促进东西方文化交流。展览共展出来自中国大陆、香港、澳门地区、台湾,以及美国、英国、德国、法国、意大利、加拿大、荷兰、伊朗、日本、韩国、
With the approval of the Ministry of Culture, the “1st Shenzhen International Ink Painting Biennale” sponsored by the Shenzhen Municipal Government was held at the Guan Shan Yue Art Museum in Shenzhen from December 10 to 30, 1998. The exhibition is another major international exchange of ink and wash activities held in mainland China after the ’88 Beijing and 92 Shenzhen International Ink Painting Exhibition. Its purpose is to promote the traditional ink and wash art tradition and promote the cultural exchange between East and West. The exhibition will be on display from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, the Netherlands, Iran, Japan, South Korea,
