一、十五年来激光通信的发展从1960年7月8日美国休斯公司梅曼宣布制成第一台红宝石激光器算起,激光通信的研究已有十五年的历史了。这十五年的过程大致可以这样说,60年到63年,研究工作比较活跃,发展也比较快,很多国家都进行了大气传输和透镜波导传输的激光通信试验。美国贝尔实验室在激光器出现的第二年就用氦—氖激光器作光源进行了大气传输实验。
