美国当代小说家库尔特·冯尼古特的《五号屠场》被认为是反战小说,小说的各个层面都表现出了虚无主义观念、和平主义思想和宿命论的信仰。作者通过对一系列的场景如战争、时间旅行、人际交往以及外星奇遇等的描写刻画,揭示了战争与正义、外星人视阈、爱情与物质以及人类窘境等的关系,对人类的自私、残忍和贪婪进行了强有力的抨击,从而引导人们重新来审视当代社会。本文主要对冯尼古特的《五号屠场》的反战争叙事方式进行解读,从战争叙事的基本要素出发,分析了其叙事的特点。同时探究了小说运用的反传统手法来表现战争的残酷和荒谬。
The “Fifth Slaughterhouse” by American contemporary novelist Kurt Vonnegut is considered as an anti-war fiction, and all levels of the novel show the beliefs of nihilism, pacifism and fatalism. By depicting a series of scenes such as war, time travel, interpersonal communication and extraterrestrial encounters, the author reveals the relationship between war and justice, the horizon of aliens, love and matter and human dilemma, and reveals the selfishness of mankind , Brutality and greed were strongly attacked, thus guiding people to re-examine the contemporary society. This article mainly analyzes the anti-war narrative style of Vonnegut’s “Slaughterhouse No.5”, and analyzes the characteristics of his narrative from the basic elements of war narrative. At the same time, I explored the anti-traditional tactics used in the novel to show the brutality and absurdity of the war.
