早在1980年8月,邓小平同志在中央政治局扩大会议上的讲话中指出:“现在应该明确提出继续肃清思想政治方面的封建主义残余影响的任务,并在制度上做一系列切实的改革,否则国家和人民还要遭受损失。”(《邓小平文选》第295页)党的十二届六中全会通过的《中共中央关于社会主义精神文明建设指导方针的决议》中,号召全党在反对资本主义腐朽思想的同时,反对封建主义的腐朽思想。可见,肃清封建主义思想政治影响,是坚定不移地进行经济体制改革的需要,是坚定不移地加强精神文明建设的需要。党校担负着培养各级党政领导干部的任务,在新的形势下,教育干部肃清封建主义残余影响,以适应现代化建设的需要,是各级党校面临的新的重大课题。 为什么把思想政治方面的反对封建主义残余影响放在重要地位?这是因为我国是一个有着两千多年封建社会历史的国家,封建主义的残余在我国影响很深。今天我们社会关系中残存的宗法观念、特权思想、专制作风、拉帮结伙、男尊女卑等,本质上都是封建遗毒的反映。这种封建遗毒仍然对当今的政治、经济、文化、社会和思想领域有着严重的影响。

Therefore, to eliminate the ideological and political influence of feudalism is the need to unswervingly carry out economic restructuring and is the need to unswervingly strengthen the building of spiritual civilization. Party schools bear the task of training party and government leading cadres at all levels. Under the new situation, educating cadres to eliminate the residual influence of feudalism in order to meet the needs of modernization is a major new issue facing party schools at all levels. Why did the ideological and political opposition to the remnants of feudalism come to an important position? This is because our country is a country with over 2,000 years of feudal social history. The remnants of feudalism have a profound impact in our country. Today, the remnants of the concept of patriarchal clan, privileged thinking, authoritarian style, gang of gangs and the inferiority of men in our social relations are all the reflection of feudal relics in nature. This feudal legacy still has a serious impact on today's political, economic, cultural, social and ideological fields.
