目的研究环氧化酶-2(COX-2)在鼻咽癌中的表达及其对血管生成及预后的影响。方法选取临床资料完整并随访达5年以上的86例鼻咽癌患者,采用免疫组织化学技术检测活检标本中COX-2、血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)表达和微血管密度(MVD)。结果COX-2在鼻咽癌组织中阳性表达率为73.3%(63/86),与VEGF表达[69.8%(60/86)|呈显著正相关(rs=0.438,P<0.01), 且与肿瘤病理分级、原发灶范围、颈淋巴结转移、远地转移及较短生存期亦具相关性。MVD平均数为32.3±12.8。结论COX-2在鼻咽癌组织中高表达,与肿瘤血管生成密切相关,可作为预测鼻咽癌预后的一种有用指标。
Objective To study the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and its effect on angiogenesis and prognosis. Methods Totally 86 NPC patients with complete clinical data and up to 5 years of follow-up were enrolled in the study. COX-2, VEGF expression and MVD were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The positive rate of COX-2 expression in nasopharyngeal carcinoma was 73.3% (63/86), which was positively correlated with the expression of VEGF (69.8% (60/86)] (rs = 0.438, P <0.01). It also had correlation with tumor grade, primary tumor range, cervical lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis and short survival time. The average MVD was 32.3 ± 12.8. Conclusion COX-2 is overexpressed in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and is closely related to tumor angiogenesis. It may be used as a useful index to predict the prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
