在劳教所这个特殊环境下,民警与劳教人员是管理与被管理的关系。在咨询过程中,咨询师虽然一荐强调咨询双方是咨询师与来访者的咨询与被咨询的平等关系,但由于日常改造生活中的管理与被管理关系,从劳教人员内心来说,还是存在很大的阻抗,不愿意暴露其真实想法,阻碍了心理咨询的有效开展。而艺术心理疗法在一些简单有趣的活动中,通过主动想象和创造性象征游戏的运用,使劳教人员得到了很大放松,减少了阻抗,真正敞开了心扉。这样,咨询师通过艺术的方法激发出来访者对自我的认识,在认识自我的过程中学会自我控制、自我完善、自我成长。
