用大型金相显微镜观察了高温溶液生长的五磷酸镧钕(NdLaPP)晶体的表面特征。这些特征是:晶面花纹、生长丘、邻位面和铁弹畴。实验表明:晶面花纹是晶体内部缺陷在生长面上的反映。因此,观察晶面花纹就可直接地判断晶体内部质量,这在大晶体上选取较完整部分制作激光棒或作晶种是一种方便,有效的方法。根据生长面上出现的生长丘、邻位面等表面特征,可以确定在该晶体生长过程中螺位错生长机制起主要作用。
The surface features of lanthanum pentaphosphate (NdLaPP) crystals grown in high temperature solution were observed with a large optical microscope. These features are: crystal pattern, growth mound, ortho-plane and iron-bound domains. Experiments show that the crystal pattern is a reflection of the internal defects on the growth surface. Therefore, the observation of crystal pattern can be directly determine the quality of the internal crystal, which in the large crystal on the selection of the more complete part of the production of laser rods or seed is a convenient and effective method. Based on the surface features such as the growing mound and the ortho-plane appearing on the growth surface, it can be determined that the dislocation growth mechanism plays a major role in the growth of the crystal.
