通过多种溶剂的提取试验证实，美丽马醉木的有毒成分是水溶性且不结晶的物质，在多种溶剂中，以乙醇和热水的提取效果最好。经柱沉析、纸沉析和薄层沉析等方法分离出的有毒成分，用化学法检查，初步认为是两种甙类物质，即酚甙和黄酮甙。
Through a variety of solvent extraction experiments confirmed that the poisonous components of Meriones unguiculatus water-soluble and non-crystalline material, in a variety of solvents, ethanol and hot water to extract the best. By column sedimentation, paper precipitation and thin layer chromatography and other methods of separation of toxic components, with chemical examination, initially considered to be two kinds of glycosides, namely, phenolic glycosides and flavonoid glycosides.
