Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, the famous American social psychologist, believes that in addition to the most basic needs of physiology, security, emotion and belonging, humankind needs a higher level of demand for respect and hopes for the affirmation and appreciation of others. Desire to be trusted by others, attention, affirmation, is a common humanity. In particular, as we grow older and our sense of self continues to grow, we will especially hope to receive the recognition and praise of others.
