The economic subsidy policy for ecological public welfare forests is an effective way for China to strengthen the protection and management of ecological public welfare forests under the socialist market economy. In 2006, Yongfeng County of Jiangxi Province was included in the experimental counties due to the particularity and importance of its ecological niche.
