美国核学会于1984年5月11日至19日在北京展览馆举办了第二届核技术展览会。参加展出的有来自美国、英国、西德、日本、意大利、瑞士的26家公司和厂家。展览会上介绍了压水堆及沸水堆核电站技术;核电站用的泵、阀门、管道等设备;核电站工程建造;核医学用药物及核仪器仪表等。约两万名观众参观了展览会。展出期间组织了专题技术座谈会。5月15日,中国核学会邀请美国核学会会长莱文 The United States Institute of Nuclear Science held its second nuclear technology exhibition at the Beijing Exhibition Center from May 11 to 19, 1984.
