The US Department of Energy Interior Communications March 31, 1980 The success of the first experiment at the Lawrence Berkeley Institute (LBL), a high-energy, high-intensity prototype neutral beam injection system, will be the first in the United States Block nuclear fusion demonstration plant key components. At Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory’s Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor (TFTR), four LBL neutral beam injection systems are planned to heat the plasma. The Princeton Fusion Reactor is scheduled to start operation in December 1981.
