Flannery O’Connor is a famous American woman writer. Compared with other writers in the second half of the 20th century, O’Connor’s literary creation is unique. Her solemn and warm language, exaggerated figures and the combination of religious propositions and violent aesthetics all bring readers a powerful spiritual shock and a time-honored aesthetic reading experience. O’Connor is always able to use the most appropriate form of expression and the content of a particular combination of work to express their ideas and positions. Taking the short story “Good Man Hard to Find” as an example, this article explores the narrative tactics of O’Connor ’s novels from three aspects: metaphor, irony and double thread narration.
