Ye Junjian choose to use Esperanto, English creation in the 1930s and 1940s. His novels focused on reflecting the struggles of ordinary people in China during the turmoil, revolution and war as well as their longing for peace. The non-heroic narration in novels such as “Mountain Village” showed Ye Junjian’s insights on modern China and his The international perspective and the position of modern civilization.
