雷吉什么也听不见。他是个正常的男孩,可他生来就失聪。镇上每个人都知道他,大家都很喜欢他。可不幸的是,他似乎总是得不到跟别人相同的待遇。孩子们担心他会因此受伤害,担心他听不到有球砸向他。大人们则觉得雷吉听不懂他们的话,似乎他还是没长大的婴儿。雷吉不太喜欢这样。但是,最不喜欢的还是他的朋友迈克尔。他希望有一天事情能有改观。迈克尔的父亲是镇长,迈克尔努力说服了父亲,今年为了照顾雷吉,他们应该给失聪人设立一天节日。在节日的那天,镇上的人都必须戴上耳塞。
Reggie can not hear anything. He is a normal boy, but he is born deaf. Everyone in the town knows him and everyone likes him very much. Unfortunately, he seems to always get the same treatment as others. The children are worried that he will be hurt so much that he can not hear the ball smashing him.
