This article discusses the mechanism of blast furnace lining brick lining damage. The behavior of titanium in blast furnace was analyzed. The reactions of Ti-O-C, Ti-O-N and Ti-C-N systems and the existence conditions of the products were calculated and revealed. The effects of titanium and its compounds on slag and iron properties were discussed. The technological conditions and benefits of utilizing titanium oxide protection furnace in the production are discussed.
