In many research programs, measuring leaf water potential ψ is an important work that must be done. It is generally accepted that the most accurate method in a laboratory is the humidity measurement (Klepper & Barrs 1968). Pressure chamber methods are the most commonly used in field studies (Scholander et al 1964), but another method of hydraulic press (Campbcll & Brewster 1975) based on the same pressurization principle has been developed. Each of these methods has its advantages and disadvantages.
