To investigate the long-term and short-term brain protection of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage in neonatal rats with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD), HIBD model was established in 7-day-old SD rats. Mild hypothermia intervention at 31 ℃ for 6 hours and 3 hours respectively , The number of apoptotic cells in brain tissue was detected by in situ end labeling and behavioral observation. The results showed that a large number of apoptotic damage and long-term behavior such as space exploration ability and survival competition ability were induced after HIBD in neonatal rats. Low temperature for 6 hours more than 3 hours the effect is significant. It is suggested that hypothermia at 31 ℃ has protective effect on the brain of neonatal rats with ischemic stroke in a short time and lasts for 6 hours and is better than 3 hours
