Auto industrys one of the most important industries for converting China from a big agricultural nation into a big manufacturing nation, playing a vitally important role in enhancing national competitiveness. Since China started auto export in the 1960s, commercial vehicles have been major export auto types. China has cumulated certain experiences in the production and marketing of commercial vehicles, the positive impact of commercial vehicle export on Chinese national economy has also been witnessed. There are still problems with Chinas commercial vehicle export though, its safe to contend that commercial vehicle export will be a new polar of economic growth in the near future.In this paper, by reviewing related literature in this field first, I shall then examine the status quo of this market, summarize traits of the market, point out problems existing in the market, demonstrate the necessity and viability of China exporting commercial vehicles and give suggestions for the industry and authorities involved to enhance the industry.
