Alkaline direct methanol fule cells(ADMFC) have advantages over proton exchange membrane fuel cells on both cathode kinetics and ohmic polarization.They can accelerate methanol oxdidation rate, depress the methanol crossover because of the reversed direction of electro-osmosis drag and make use of non-precious metal catalyst.
