Objective:To observe the effect of treating chronic spinal cord injuried rats,whose axon is contused by transplantation of autologus activated Schwann cells(AASCs).Methods:This experiment consists of two parts:elementary study and clinical study.Elementary study:Based on the treatment of spinal cord injury with co-grafts of genetically modified schwann cells by NGF gene and fetaI spinal cord celI suspension in the rat,using autologus activated schwann cells(AASCs) transplanted into the rats can promote schwann cells secreting much NTF continuously,also can cause the axon of the injury spinal cord regeneration greatly,which could recover the completement of anatomy and function.After transplantation,In order to evaluate the functional and morphologic recovery of the corticospinal cord,the corticospinal cord is traced,the transplant is marked and immunohistochemistry method is used to observe the condition of the transplant.Light microscope is used to observe the morphologic changes of the corticospianl cord.The recovery of lower extremity of rats after transplantation is measured by BBB score system.
