Phenol is one of hazardous chemical.GB/T8537-2008 specifies volatile phenolic compounds (calculated as phenol) < 0.002mg / L.The determination according to GB/T8538-2008 uses chloroform extraction and 4-aminoantipyrine spectrophotometric method.The MDL is only 0.002mg/L in 250mL water.The detection is interfered by reducing sulfide, oxidant, aniline compounds and petroleum.This paper studies to use ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) with fluorescence detector (FLR) to detect phenol by directly injection.MDL is lower to 0.06ug / L, LOQ is 0.2ug / L.It fully meets requirement of GB/T8537-2008.
