In recent years, the Guangdong provincial government has advanced its construction of accessible environments in an all-round manner,strengthened the construction and transformation of accessibility comprehensive service facilities for persons with disabilities, and included the following into Ten Practical Things Regarding Peoples Livelihood in Guangdong: the accessible environment transformation for poor people with disabilities,information accessibility transformation of provincial government website and other public websites, free distribution of screen readers for visually impaired people, the construction of public transport guidance system for the blind in cities in the Pearl River Delta, etc., and, particularly, promoted the construction of accessible environments by virtue of the Asian Games and the Asian Para Games held in Guangzhou in 2010 and the World University Games in Shenzhen in 2011.But, problems such as unbalanced development,improper management and poor information accessibility construction still exist in the construction of accessible environments.In the future, the government should further establish and perfect laws and regulations for accessible environments;further enrich the connotation of accessible environment construction;strengthen the maintenance and management of existing accessible facilities;further intensify the publicity on accessible environment construction;and continue to enhance the cultivation of social organizations.
