With the popularity of the network and the diversification of the society, university students are easy to obtain much more information and news.Being influenced by these, the views of values of the university students as well change.Through the method of ideological and political education, the theme of which is clear and obvious and the forms are flexible while the connotations of which are rich, it has become more and more urgent to help the university students to build the correct worth of the world, worth of life and the view of values.This has as well become an important task for the universities and the colleges to carry out the ideological and political education work.In this paper, the author sets forth in the activities of "singing revolutionary songs, reading classic books, telling stories and spreading mottos", which are carried out by the universities and the colleges.The important roles of the activities in the ideological and political education of the universities and colleges have been explored.In addition, the author has analyzed the beneficial conditions and the effective ways for the activities of "singing revolutionary songs, reading classic books, telling stories and spreading mottos" to get integrated into the ideological and political education.
