Hematuda is one of the most common symptoms in glomerular disease in children. Nephrologist andurologists are frequently faced with patients with asymptomatic haematuria that remains unexplained after cystoscopy and renalimaging. We performed renal biopsy for 73 cases who were diagnosed asymptomatic hematuria in our admission patients fromJanuary 1997 to March 2008 and wanted to analyze the kidney histological categories of asymptomatic hematuria in children.Patients and Methods 73 cases were diagnosed asymptomatic hematuria in our study. All 73 cases were performed by renalbiopsy. All renal tissues were examined by fight microscopy, electron microscopy and immunofluorescence. Results All the 73patients were identified glomerular diseases by renal biopsy. In our study the most common histological categories of asymptomatichematuda were as foUows:24 cases of IgA nephropathy, 19 cases of MsPGN (mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis), 8 casesof EcPGN (endocapillary proliferative giomerulonephrifis), 5 cases of IgM nephropathy (6.8%), 5 cases of focal segmentalglomerulosclerosis (FSGS)(6.8%), 5 cases of membranous nephropathy (MN)(6.8%), 4 cases of membranoproliferativeglomerulonephritis (MPGN)(6.0%), 2 case of minimal change disease (MCD)(2.7%), I case of thin basement membranenephropathy (TBMN)(1.4%). Conclusion In our study IgA nephropathy was the most common pathological category inasymptomatic hematuria, the second is MsPGN, the third is EcPGN.
