The evolution of the perception of the Confucian and the Chinese Culture by the Portuguese and Europeans was comprised by complex and different elements.On the one hand, the different types of information sources (books and documents from private or public official services from missionaries, sailors and traders), which arrived in Portugal and Europe.Furthermore, such information was learned and handled differently according to the respective time, cultural, social and political context of the Europeans.
