Traditional linear vibration energy harvester has a narrow operating frequency bandwidth.Once the excitation frequency shifts away from the resonance frequency, the performance of energy harvester will drop dramatically.This paper presented a novel hybrid energy harvester to overcome this problem by broadening the bandwidth and improving the power output.It combined the piezoelectric and electromagnetic energy harvesting mechanisms.It consisted of a piezoelectric cantilever beam with a magnet as tip mass and a magnetic oscillator attached on the frame.
