　　Near critical water (NCW), as an environmentally benign medium, has drawn increasing attention for organic chemical reactions and biomass conversion because it has a strong tendency to ionize and can act as an acid and/or base catalyst.To find new applications of NCW, polymer modification in NCW was studied.
