Traditional transparent conductors (TC), especially Indium Tin Oxide (ITO), are deposited by vacuum and thermally activated processes.New solution based materials are beheved to have potential to extract value from the ITO market.Solution based materials, including metal nanowires (Ag-NWs), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), inherently conducting polymers (ICPs) and TCO dispersions, enable lower cost of ownership and new applications such as flexible electronics.Recently, Honeywell has been developing formulation and application technology of Ag-NWs based TC.We will present our results on performance and manufacturing flows of TC, based on understanding the chemistry and structure ofAg NWs coatings.
