Discotic liquid crystals (DLCs) exhibit the property of self-organization into a highly ordered columnar mesophase as well as fast charge carrier mobility,and are emerging as a new kind of organic mesophase semiconductors.Present research on DLCs showed that charge carrier mobility was related to the size of aromatic core and the order of discotic columnar phase.Using hydrogen-bonding or fluorophobic effect successfully anchored and stabilized columnar mesophases,but both effects had not been explored in the same discotic molecule systems.
