1 PROBLEM PROPOSED “Uranium Coal Exploration” is a new prospecting method proposed in the exploration of sandstone-type uranium deposits in the Ordos continental facies basin. Under the guidance of this new thinking, China’s uranium resources exploration made a major breakthrough in a short period of time, ending the history of China’s absence of a world-class uranium mine. The discovery of the ultra-large uranium deposit in Daying not only affected the sandstone-type uranium metallogenic theory in the Central Asia, but also formed a combination and symbiotic mechanism for the mineralization in the Mesozoic energy basins in the eastern tectonic domain of China.
