Mixing is one of the critical processes in industry, which usually counts for a considerable portion in the industrial cost today [1].However,thorough and cost-effective mixing processes are to some extent still absent from the research reported in the existing literature [2].It has been argued and demonstrated that chaotic vibration can provide the best possible thorough and efficient mixing of fluids. This work reports a practical approach to applying chaotic perturbations into a liquid mixing process so as to achieve better mixing quality. The design is to use sampled output signals from a chaotic circuit, where the mixing process uses a most widely utilized mixing device, the stirred tank.Laboratory experiments are carried out with careful comparisons, showing the superiority of chaos over other conventional liquid mixing methods.
