In isogeometric analysis same mathematical language which is spline function is used for CAD and CAE.Therefore post-processing and producing analysis model do not need any efforts cause of convenient communication.Also design dependent loads, such as pressure, convection etc are easily considered because boundary of analysis model is represented smoothly by spline function.In optimization based on isogeometric analysis, coordinates of control points which represent boundary of surface and trimming curves are used as design variables.And it has been applied to several elastic problems.In this paper fluid analysis using isogeometric analysis is performed.We only deal with stokes flow for convenience.For fluid analysis, not only velocities but also pressure should be considered.To consider the pressure which is acting on boundary, exact material boundary representation is needed.But it is hard to define various effects acting on boundaries due to irregular and vague material boundaries in conventional cell based optimization methods.In isogeometric analysis, boundaries are exactly represented on account of using spline basis and pressure effects are considered accurately.Based on this isogeometric fluid analysis, optimization of stokes flow considering force of drag is performed in this study.
