In the UK, the management of mandibular condyle neck injuries traditionally favors conservative treatment, claiming that conservative function recovery is satisfactory. However, Wood used a conservative study of 32 patients with condylar neck fractures and found that many patients experienced decreased mouth opening, limited mouth opening, significant skew and significant condylar deformation.
