有一天,阳光灿烂,毛毛虫在小屋里醒来,伸了个懒腰,一扭一扭地爬了出来。它趴在树叶上,美美地正享受着,突然它被一只大手抓住了,悬在半空里。它回头一看,原来它被一个丑陋的男孩捏住了背。那男孩抓住毛毛虫,在人前挥动着,吓唬得旁边的孩子们嗷嗷直叫。毛毛虫想:他竟然拿我吓唬别人,是因为我很恶心和丑陋啊?有些孩子的确也被它吓哭了,对它很不喜欢。毛毛虫的自尊心受到了挑战,它很伤心。
