坐落在海南岛东南部山区的万宁市民族中学,5年前还是一所设施简陋不堪、校园环境混乱、师生人心涣散的学校。如今,师生同心协力创先进,争一流,校容校貌焕然一新,办学条件明显改善,办学规模不断扩大,先后被万宁市人民政府评为“教育教学先进单位”、“师资培训先进单位”和“综合治理先进单位”,在全省校容校貌评比中荣获一等奖。从该校的发展变化中,人们看到了振兴民族教育的希望,称赞校长符载冠是“民族教育发展的一颗星”。符载冠因此荣获了海南省“十佳校长”、“师德标兵”等殊荣。
